Gino Cappelletti Retires, To Be Replaced By Scott Zolak In Patriots Broadcast Booth

“The Duke” was in the booth for 28 years.

Patriots legend and long time radio color analyst, Gino Cappelletti will retire from the booth ESPN reports. Cappelletti is a cornerstone of the New England Patriots franchise playing for them for 11 years and on the radio for 28 years.

“Through five decades, my romance with football and my relationship with the Patriots organization have provided me with a lifetime of wonderful memories.
I have had the privilege of sharing the broadcast of six Super Bowls, and amazingly, five in the past decade,” the statement continued. “The memory of the first Super Bowl victory will always be fresh in my mind. For me, it serves as a special reminder of how far this franchise has come, the challenges that were met, and the adversity we faced in those early years. But as they say in the huddle after a long, successful day’s work, it’s time to take a knee and celebrate the win.’’

Gino will be replaced by former Patriots quarterback, sideline reporter and 98.5 The Sports Hub host Scott Zolak.

“Zo” will bring his off the wall humor to compliment Gil Santos’ play by play prowess. However, Gino is a CLASS ACT and will be MISSED greatly.

Everyone at BST&N wishes him the best!
