Red Sox Report: Mariano Rivera To Make Final Appearance At Fenway

Tonight at Fenway Park will be Mariano Rivera’s final game against the Red Sox. In his farewell tour this year every team has presented him with some sort of gift, so tonight its expected the Red Sox will give Mo a retirement gift.

The Red Sox should have Dave Roberts present Mo with a framed picture of Roberts safe at second during the 2004 ALCS game 4. Although Mariano Rivera is the best closer of ALL TIME, he will be remembered fondly by Red Sox fans for blowing the save in game 4 in 2004, along with blowing other saves against Boston.

In 2005 when the Red Sox were getting their rings, Mo got the biggest ovation of the day when he was introduced during the opening ceremonies. He even tipped his hat to crowd and had fun with it.

Even though the Red Sox have beat Mo quite a few times, more times than not,he beat the Red Sox. So seeing somebody else come out for the 9th inning for the Yankees next year but not be too bad, but as Red Sox fans we’ll never forget the greatest closer of all time.

Happy Retirement Mo, and thanks again for 2004!!!
